Join us for another Drawing Class hosted by Rosie Turner at Unassigned Gallery.
This casual life drawing class will promote artistic expression and experimental drawing in a judgement-free zone.
By providing an encouraging, positive and affirming space Rosie will ease you into a place of creative expression and help you connect with your artistic self.
Drawing materials will be provided, however you are more than welcome to bring your favourite tools to draw with!
You will learn basic drawing exercises and skills and how to observe the human form.
You will be encouraged to be creative in a judgement-free zone.
Importantly, you will be positioned to embrace your own unique approach to drawing and let go of negative feelings about your art!
About Rosie
Rosie Turner is a multidisciplinary artist based in Melbourne/Narrm.
Her work centres on drawing, predominantly using pen and ink.
Rosie's work examines ideas of sex, death, beauty, mysticism and the occult. Her work is symbolic, playful, nuanced and semi-autobiographical.
Rosie has shown her work in successful solo shows and group shows at galleries across Newcastle, Brisbane and Melbourne.
She is passionate about fostering creativity in others and believes that ALL drawing is GOOD drawing!
About the gallery
Unassigned Gallery is a new gallery that seeks to platform new and unseen talent emerging in Melbourne’s vibrant art scene.
This event is for people aged 18+ and photography is not permitted while the class is in session.
All supplies must be left at the studio (you may take your drawings with you).
Class participants will be respectful of other students and the model, good vibes only!
