Stand Tall & Hold Space

Joseph Say

“Stand Tall & Hold Space” is a captivating body of work by Joe Say that invites viewers to embark on a cosmic journey, exploring profound themes of self, existence, and community. In this extraterrestrial collection, ceramic sculpture and vases become vessels of reflection, drawing inspiration from the boundless cosmos. These creations are born from a profound sense of not belonging, of not quite fitting into the earthly tapestry. Yet, in their otherworldly elegance, each piece serves as a poignant reminder that every entity, no matter its origin, possesses inherent beauty and deserves to claim its own space in the universe.

Central to this exhibition is the fascinating synergy between the artist and 15 diverse creatives who have contributed to this remarkable collection. It is a profound manifestation of the intricate relationships that weave through our lives, reminding us that art need not be a solitary endeavor. Instead, it serves to subvert the isolating nature of individual creativity, encouraging us to lean deeper into connection.

“Stand Tall & Hold Space” is an immersive exploration of the human experience in the grand context of the cosmos. Through ceramic artistry and collaborative vision, Joe invites us to ponder our place in the universe, to appreciate the beauty that arises from our uniqueness, and to celebrate the profound bonds that unite us.
